I was invited to photograph the first ever official cricket match on Herm organised by the Lords Taverners to raise money for charity. Chris Tarrant’s whose team won the day! OK! magazine will run a feature on the event. Driving back from photographing Ladies Day at Royal Ascot I saw this amazing rainbow. I ‘chased’ it for about half an hour to a suitable horizon and then captured it on camera in the rain. I first met Charlotte at a job I was photographing an event for OK! magazine a few years ago. My friend Giovanni invited me to Pierre Garroudi’s amazing London Fashion Week show at Crucifix Street at his studio under the rail arches.
I needed a miracle as I arrived at 8.50pm for a 9pm start and my view was restricted of the runway. I threw up a quick prayer and the photographer in front of me suddenly re-positioned his tripod allowing me to sit centre front, my favourite position. That’s not the first time my prayers have been answered!
From there I had a fantastic view and enjoyed an array of fabulous models making intriguing movements and shapes as they ‘catwalked’. A thoroughly entertaining show!
I sent a large selection of photos to the National Newspapers and an agency to send to the magazines.

I first photographed Ilda a few years ago at Royal Ascot. I could see how well dressed she was and her photograph was used in Berkshire Life magazine who I was freelancing for. Over the years, and many photos later, we have become friends. Ilda came to the studio for a valentine themed photoshoot. We didn’t need a model as she was the ideal mannequin [stunning!] for the amazing heart shape hat she created for the shoot. Last year her hats featured heavily in the national press at Royal Ascot [Times front page]. If I were a lady I would be rummaging on her shelves.
