Laughing with Faith

Faith Brown visited my studio for a photo-shoot. We laughed so much I had to concentrate and hold the camera steady. I wasn’t laughing when I lost the front door key to the studio, so she had to come in the ‘tradesmen’s’ entrance at the back. What a lovely lady.

Theo, JB and Mrs P at ‘A Night at the Oscars’ in aid of The Sam Beare Hospice at Botley Mansion

Theo Paphitis handed me his i-phone while I was photographing celebrities at ‘A Night at the Oscars’ at Botley Mansion in aid of the Sam Beare Hospice www.wsbhospices.co.uk and I obliged. I borrowed the photo back from his ‘twitter’ after my eagle eyed friend Gemma spotted it, and suitably added my credit. He is pictured with JB from JLS and his wife. Party Angel knows how to party!

Attending & photographing Rayna Angel’s events never really seems like work to me.  www.angelevents.co.uk . Over the years I have covered all manor of events for her, from private parties to celebrity balls and charity events etc. More recently she has asked me to photograph several model portfolios for new models. When I was asked to bring my studio lights to ‘Bluebells’ in Sunningdale to capture the action, I immediately re-arranged my diary to join the party and capture Rayna and her closest female friends on camera. Boy does she know how to party! Partner Ben made a surprise entrance, and there were several other surprises during the afternoon. I left at 6pm to go elsewhere, but I understand the partying went on into the early hours! The images are on www.grahamreading.com

Portfolio shoot – and the shoes we didn’t use!

Lisa and Catherine came for a portfolio shoot and were fabulous in front of the camera. Starting in the forest, we later moved to my studio. I marvel at how many clothes people bring to the studio and how many we actually get to use . When packing to go, Debs [Lisa’s mum] showed me some of Lisa’s shoes that we hadn’t even touched.  “They’d be great for a blog photo” I said, and I got the necessary permission! If you have an interesting pair of shoes that you want featured on my blog, book a portfolio shoot and bring them over!

A Very English Tea with Robin Gibb

I just returned from an afternoon ‘Fashion Show and Couture Tea’ with the music of ‘Night Fever’ and ‘Staying Alive’ ringing through my head, all performed tonight by Robin Gibb at his home – at a fundraiser in aid of ‘Against Breat Cancer’. Natasha Hamilton joined him on stage, after performing her own set. It was a fantastic celebrity line-up, soon to feature in OK! magazine diary. The Spanish Tragedy

My good friend Rosy Langlands has been performing in the Planet Theatre Productions version of The Spanish Tragedy by Thomas Kyd at the Rose Theatre. She asked me to take photographs of the production – this is one of the set.

Thomas Kyd’s bloody drama received its first performance at the Rose Theatre in or around 1587, and there is some reason to think that Shakespeare himself might have been in the cast.

These shoes weren’t made for walking…

Walking home from the after party from the Lida O’Reilly fashion show in London Fashion week hosted by Sofia Hyat, I spotted these shoes in Selfridges window.
